Our Story

Wojodi Amal is a regional platform created to break the silence around suicide and offer a space for healing, reflection, and connection.

We believe in the power of stories, art, and personal experience to bring hope to others. Whether through a photo, a song, a drawing, or a short piece of writing, your voice matters and it might save someone else's life.

This initiative invites individuals from across the Arab region to share their thoughts, emotions, and lived experiences related to suicide, mental health, loss, or recovery. Every reflection becomes part of a growing digital exhibition, a living archive of resilience, pain, courage, and care.

By collecting and sharing these expressions, we aim to:

  • -Reduce the stigma about suicide and mental health in the Arab region.
  • -Offer solidarity around speaking openly about suicide and mental health struggles.
  • -Promote creativity and reflection as paths to healing
  • -Connect people to local and regional resources that can help.

Wojodi Amal is not a crisis line or a counseling service but rather a bridge. A place where people who have experienced suicide whether directly or indirectly can be seen, heard, and supported.

This project is a collaboration between regional mental health actors, civil society, and international partners, including [GIZ], [IDRAAC], [Embrace], and others.

We invite you to explore the exhibition, read the reflections, or share your own.

Because when we speak, reflect, and listen, healing becomes possible.
